Tom has been conducting executive searches since 1997 for B2B service companies, mostly various sized family or investor owned ones where the CEO is often the Founder. He also has extensive knowledge of e-commerce and logistics. Additionally, since 1995, he has been coaching executives who are planning for or in a job transition.
Prior to Acadia Associates, he was one of several founders of the e-commerce practice at Boyden Global Search and then an early member of Korn/Ferry’s Futurestep division, which integrated online assessments into the search process. Before this, he helped start two internet service companies, one of which is the oldest online home listing service across North America. For the prior 10 years, Tom was in logistics management with UPS, Sea-Land Service, and the U.S. Army’s Transportation Corp where he served as a Captain and paratrooper.
Tom is a past president of the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta and, for the last 15 years, has created and led the club’s Job Transition Services. He has been a Board Member of the Atlanta Business School Alliance (ABSA) since 2010 and a former Board Chair. He founded the Morris Brown College student mentorship program with the ABSA as well as the Mt. Vernon high school’s Business & Entrepreneurship program. A former Boy Scouts leader for 15 years, he is married with three children (2 Eagle Scout sons and an avid outdoors daughter) and loves camping and other mountain adventures with his family and friends.
Tom holds an MBA from Harvard and a BA from St. Lawrence University.
